Items given to a driver in lieu of taxi fare are considered as collateral items. To claim your collateral item please come and see our lost and found personnel at our office location with your photo ID. Outstanding fare needs to be cleared before the collateral items can be released. If you have any further questions give us a call at 780-425-0954.

If you can provide the following information, we will have a better chance of identifying your lost item and returning it to you:
I called but my lost item wasn’t there. Where is it? Items that are found in the taxis are typically are brought to the Lost and Found office the next business day. The best time to call is after noon, when all items from the previous day have been received and entered into our database. If your item is not at Lost and Found on your first attempt, try again the next business day.
The Lost and Found office is closed on the weekends and statutory holidays, so you will have to wait until 08:00am of the next working day to speak to someone in our Lost and Found office.
Co-op Taxi will make every effort to connect lost and found property with its rightful owner, but all unclaimed articles will be held for no longer than 30 days. (This includes items given to a driver in lieu of taxi fare). After 30 days all the unclaimed items will be donated to the local charity or will be disposed according to our disposal policies.
You must provide a piece of photo ID. If your only piece of ID was in the item you lost, please let our Lost and Found personnel know that your ID is in the item you are claiming.
Once we have confirmed we have your item, you can designate someone to pick up your item for you if you are unable to come to Co-op Taxi Lost and Found office. You must call and give us your authorization and name of designate to pick up the item on your behalf. A designate must bring a piece of his photo ID to collect the item and should be able to identify our lost item. In some cases, lost and found personnel may call you before hand over the lost item to your designate to prevent fraudulent activities.
The information, collected under Section 33 C of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act, is used to determine the rightful owner of the found article being claimed and to contact you in the event of a discrepancy.
